Figures released last week show that unemployment continues to fall in Finchley and Golders Green. There are now 497 less people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance than in May 2010 and 511 lower than this time last year. Unemployment is now 2.6%, below the national average.
Mike Freer comments “Another 511 people off Jobseeker’s Allowance means 511 people who are able to provide for their families. I am delighted that the economy continues to grow and the figures are a testament to the hard work of businesses locally. The Conservatives’ long term economic plan is working and the economy is back on track”.
