From the start I have objected to the ludicrous proposal to move this busy and popular GP practice into Finchley Memorial Hospital. I have campaigned against it, and met with the Barnet CCG and spoken to Ministers in the Department of Health regarding these proposals.
As many constituents will know, I have previously fully rejected proposals to relocate Ravenscroft Medical Centre in Golders Green to Finchley Memorial Hospital. I have been working to prevent the relocation from happening.
Stephens House and Gardens has been nominated for the UK’s Best Park award and local MP Mike Freer is encouraging constituents to support the park in a UK-wide competition organised by green space charity, Fields in Trust.
In recent weeks and months, concern about climate change has been growing to unprecedented levels. Climate protests and large lobbies at Parliament have energised the public debate. I fully recognise the importance and urgency to act.
Many constituents will spend some of their time on the Northern Line to either commute to work, or head into central London. However, many people will be aware that in numerous places across the line, it can be unbearably noisy.
Yesterday, Mike held another of his regular 'Meet the Street' evenings in Parliament. The purpose of these events is to allow constituents the opportunity of engaging with their local Member of Parliament and to experience a tour of some of the highlights of the Palace of Westminster.
