Supported by record funding in our health and social care systems, the Conservatives are taking the action needed to make healthcare provision faster, simpler and fairer for patients in our area, with the local NHS having been allocated £3.05 billion for 2024/25.
The Government is getting more clinicians on the front line to give people the care they need, with 70 more full-time equivalent doctors and 137 more nurses in September 2023 than there were in September 2022 at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
The Government is also looking to make it easier for people to get GP appointments by investing in technology and recruiting more staff to look after patients. In North Central London, there were 38 more full-time-equivalent GPs in December 2023 than in December 2019, and 1,819,226 more general practice appointments delivered in the year to December 2023 than in the year to December 2019.
Further information and statistics on the Government's impact on healthcare provision locally can be found in the attached letter from Andrew Stephenson MP, Minister of State in the Department of Health & Social Care.
Constituents can be assured that the Government will continue to take substantive action to bolster our local NHS.
