Yesterday evening, Mike hosted an engagement meeting between the Metropolitan Police and London-based Rabbonim to discuss the policing of pro-Palestine demonstrations and antisemitic offences.
Rabbis and representatives from synagogues across North & Central London received a briefing from Assistant Commissioner Matt Twist at Kinloss Synagogue in Finchley, and then had the opportunity to ask AC Twist a range of questions on specific events, policing operations, and points of law.
This meeting will form the basis for ongoing communication and engagement between the Met and London Jewish community, which Mike will continue to play a role in facilitating.
Mike was extremely grateful for the cooperation of both the Met and attending Rabbonim in enabling a productive, positive meeting to take place, and would also like to thank Kinloss for their generosity in hosting it.
