Further to correspondence from several constituents concerned about crime around Finchley Central station, Mike has successfully lobbied London Borough of Barnet (LBB) to have CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding streets.
Camera locations are as follows:
- On the corner of Sylvan Avenue, N3 2LE, and Lichfield Grove
- At both ends of Wooton Grove, N3 2BF – (One camera on the junction of Wooton Grove / Lichfield Grove)
- Outside Finchley Central tube – on the Station Road, N3, side
Mike is aware that this area has become a hotspot for drug dealing and other anti-social behaviour, and that crime around Finchley Central is a significant concern for residents.
He will continue to take action in collaboration with Barnet Council and the Metropolitan Police to crack down on anti-social behaviour, and to ensure the safety of the streets and communities of his constituency.
