Last Friday, Mike was delighted to visit the pupils of Garden Suburb Junior School to talk about his work as the Member of Parliament for Finchley & Golders Green.
Relevant to what the students are currently studying, Mike discussed real-world examples of his impact as the area's representative, linking that to the UK's wider democratic system which he has served within as both a councillor and MP since the 1990s.
Additionally to his responsibilities as an MP, Mike is also a minister in the Ministry of Justice, and he brought in one of his red boxes, (the iconic cases in which minister's government documents are historically stored), to show the students.
Mike was impressed by their engagement, and would like to thank the school's leadership for organising the visit.
