Last week, Mike had the opportunity to visit Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice in Barnet, one of the UK’s leading hospices providing care for over 350 children and their families every year.
Established in 2006, Noah’s Ark’s mantra is that every baby, child, and young person who is seriously unwell, along with their loved ones, should have access to expert and compassionate palliative care from the point of diagnosis.
Partnering with London’s NHS trusts and social care organisations, they have built a home, community, and team to make that difference.
Mike was impressed by the facilities and services offered by the hospice, and was particularly touched by the meaningful way Noah’s Ark chooses to remember a child who has died.
Pictured above, located on the Ark’s beautiful 7.5-acre nature reserve, hand-crafted metal butterflies are placed in memory of each child that has passed away.
