Finchley and Golders Green MP, Mike Freer, invited local pupils to Westminster for his annual 6th Form Conference. 4 pupils from each school were invited to take part in an hour long discussion on topical issues before having a tour of Parliament from the MP.
The pupils, who were selected to represent their schools, asked a range of questions including on regulation of the internet, the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and the upcoming General Election.
Mike comments “I thoroughly enjoyed this year’s 6th Form Conference. The pupils were engaging and asked some very difficult questions! We have some excellent schools here in Barnet and the pupils at my Conference were a testament to that”.
Pupils from Whitefield, Henrietta Barnett, St Michael’s Catholic Grammar, Bishop Douglass, Christ’s College, Woodhouse College, Hasmonean Boys, King Alfred and the Wren Academy were invited.
