Starbucks Coffee have today joined Mike Freer's campaign for better disabled access on local high streets. Starbucks' newly refurbished coffee shop features full disabled access with a new entrance installed.
Having been contacted by numerous disabled constituents who reported problems accessing stores in Finchley and Golders Green, Mike Freer joined forces with disability campaigner, Matthew Kayne, to lobby retailers to make their premises more wheelchair-friendly. Starbucks are the latest major organisation to join Mike's campaign and improve accessibility.
Mike comments "The new Starbucks in Golders Green is to be warmly welcomed with the new premises being fully accessible. I would urge all retailers locally to consider how they can make their shops more friendly to wheelchair users.
The costs involved are minimal and no shop would want to turn away potential customers. Access for everyone is not only the right thing to do, it is also good for business."
