Parliament returned from the Party Conference recess this week, and while MPs travelled down to London I started my week with visits to Mapledown School and JFS, where I spoke to a class of politics students.
I held various meetings in Parliament throughout the week, one of which was with representatives from Gatwick Airport who took me through their proposals for expansion of a new runway. I also had a number of meetings in my role as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Leader of the House of Commons, Chris Grayling, preparing for the legislation that will be making its way through the House over the coming weeks.
Residents of East Finchley and Golders Green joined me in Parliament on Wednesday evening for a brief reception and a tour of the Houses of Parliament. While Friday saw my mobile surgery attend Temple Fortune and a further surgery held in my constituency office.
On Sunday evening I attended a community wide prayer service at Hendon United Synagogue, in solidarity with the victims of terror in Israel.
