My week began with a visit to the JW3 Community Centre on Finchley Road. It was my first visit and I and was hugely impressed by the facilities available. It is a fantastic new resource but I’m sad to see the LJCC leave North End Road. I then returned to Parliament for a series of debates and votes. That evening, I met with the charity, Families Together.
The following day, I met with Health Minister, Jane Ellison, along with Healthwatch Barnet to discuss local health issues. I remained in Parliament for the day, listening to a number of debates and later meeting with the Jewish Police Association.
I had a number of other interesting meetings, including with Barnet Borough Commander, Adrian Usher to discuss local crime and security issues and with Health Minister Earl Howe. I led a delegation to see Earl Howe regarding the Hatzola Ambulance Service blue lights issue, which risks a much valued local ambulance service
As is customary, I spent Friday in the Constituency. I met with teachers from Alma Primary who are moving their school to the neighbouring Chipping Barnet constituency before heading over to Golders Green to speak at the Holocaust Memorial Day event. I then returned to my constituency office for resident advice surgeries. On Saturday I attended a fundraising dinner for one of our excellent local primary schools.
