Finchley and Golders Green MP, Mike Freer, is today welcoming the announcement by the Department for Health that Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group is to receive an additional £29.5 million in NHS funding, an increase of 7.3% on the previous year. This represents a rise of over 7 times inflation. The funding increase follows the announcement by the Chancellor of the Exchequer at the Autumn Statement, where £2bn in additional funds were pledged for NHS services.
Mike Freer comments “I am delighted that Barnet is to receive almost £30m extra for our NHS. The economy continues to grow and with a strong economy comes a strong NHS. The additional funding shows what this means locally”.
