I had the pleasure of beginning the week by meeting the winner of my annual Christmas Card Competition at St Mary’s Primary on Dollis Park. The standard was again very high this year but Molly was a worthy winner! I also enjoyed hosting an event that evening for Young Kisharon, in aid of their young volunteers.
The Prime Minister also played host to the Conservative Friends of Israel annual dinner on Tuesday. He reaffirmed his support for Israel saying “this party will always stand behind Israel, the homeland of the Jewish People”. Later that evening I attended the Chanukah reception in Parliament as well as hosting Keshet UK in Parliament.
As well as presenting the winner of my Christmas Card Competition, I have been travelling to meet runners up. Wednesday began with a trip to Northside Primary to meet a pupil there. I headed to Westminster for a meeting on breast screening provision. I will be updating constituents in the New Year on progress made on my campaign for a permanent breast screening unit at Finchley Memorial Hospital. Chanukah festivities then continued, this time at 10. Downing Street for the reception held there.
Later that week, I enjoyed visiting St Michael’s Catholic Grammar for their awards evening. The students were as impressive as ever.
As is customary, Friday was spent in Finchley and began with surgeries at my constituency office. I had a number of engagements over the weekend including a visit to Norwood to present children with Christmas presents.
