Mike Freer MP has met with some of the UK’s leading national charities in Manchester at the Conservative Party Conference.
The charities included the British Heart Foundation, the Guide Dogs, and StopAIDS.
Mike commented:
“Each year, the Party Conference is a great opportunity to catch up with many excellent charities to discuss a wide range of important issues and their current campaigns. From the Guide Dogs (and their dog Forgan), I heard about their campaign for training of cab drivers to better understand the needs of blind and partially sighted people, the British Heart Foundation updated me on investment in cutting-edge research, and the StopAIDS network gave details of their commitment to end AIDS by 2030.
“These are always interesting and useful meetings and although time at conference is rather limited, I always try to visit as many stands as possible.”
